If Bicester Heritage keep upping their game for each event. I’m going to move back to the Midlands and set up shop somewhere in Wriggly Monkey Brewery. For the last Sunday Scramble of 2018, everything felt the same, but completely different at the same time.
‘Wetter than an otter’s pocket’ springs to mind. The classic British Summer Time in full swing – blisteringly hot when you need to do anything related to real life, then as soon as you intend to spend the day walking round Bicester Heritage’s ex-RAF base for Luftgekühlt’s first overseas trip, it rains.
Unlike every other Brit, I’m not a whiner when it comes to the weather. Unless you’ve forgotten how winter works (in March?) and almost freeze your fingers off. But that’s a different story for another time. But it was about time this rock we all call the United Kingdom was due some proper ‘top down’ weather.
Life’s a funny thing. Times you’re flat out, times you’re not. These past few weeks have been an odd balance between the two. Ferrying stuff between 3 houses, running round like a t*t for employment and watching the clock tick by waiting on a contract for a new job. Luckily there was something to look forward to at the end of it all: The British Drift Championship Finale at Anglesey.
